Local Experience

Three Decades of Real Construction Brought to Small Jobs

A lot of companies only want large remodels, and a lot of handyman services only handle the most basic tasks. Kile Construction offers something in the middle. Chuck and Norm Kile have spent more than 30 years in construction, remodeling, and home improvement across Northern Idaho, which means you get better workmanship, better judgment, and better results on jobs most contractors don't want to bother with.

That experience matters when you are working in lived-in homes where every job is a little different. We know how to assess the situation, recommend the right fix, and do the work with care.

We also know that handyman work is not just about checking boxes. Homeowners want someone who communicates clearly, shows up when promised, respects the home, and does the work right the first time. That is exactly what we aim to provide.

FAQ

Handyman Service Questions

Straight answers to what homeowners ask most before booking a visit.

What kinds of handyman jobs do you take?
Drywall patching, door and trim work, fixture swaps, TV mounting, small carpentry builds, punch-list items, and general home repair. If it needs real skill and judgment, we can probably help, and if it's outside what we do, we'll say so.
Is there a minimum job size?
We usually prefer to bundle a list of small items into a single visit so it's more efficient for both of us. A single 10-minute fix on its own is typically too small, but a half-day or full day of work is a great fit.
Do you give written estimates for handyman work?
Yes. For larger handyman visits we provide a written estimate. For very small items, we can give you an hourly or flat rate up front so there are no surprises on the invoice.
Can you handle punch-list items after another contractor left?
Yes. We're often brought in to finish what someone else didn't, loose trim, mis-installed doors, drywall issues, or general cleanup carpentry. We'll give you an honest take on what it takes to make it right.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We are a licensed Idaho and Washington general contractor (Idaho RCE-34546, Washington CC NLKILKC815OZ) and carry liability insurance, so the same protection applies to small jobs as to large remodels.
How do I get started?
Call (208) 660-2470 or request a meeting online with your list of items. We'll review the scope and schedule a visit.
