FAQ

Home Renovation Questions

Straight answers to what homeowners ask most before starting a renovation.

How long does a whole-home renovation take?
Most whole-home renovations run 2–4 months depending on square footage, scope, and whether you remain in the home during construction. Smaller single-room remodels are typically 2–6 weeks. You'll get a written schedule with your estimate.
Do I need to move out during a home renovation?
Not always. Partial renovations can usually be phased so you stay in the home, we contain dust, protect finished areas, and work in sections. For full gut renovations or projects affecting kitchens and bathrooms, temporary relocation is often more comfortable.
Can you help with design and plans?
Yes. We'll build from your existing drawings, or help you develop a design from scratch, including layout decisions, material selections, cabinetry, and finishes. We can also coordinate with local designers or architects as needed.
Do you handle permits and inspections?
Yes. As your general contractor we pull all required Idaho or Washington permits and schedule every inspection with the city or county. You don't deal with the jurisdiction directly.
Can I make changes once the project starts?
Yes, we expect it. Change orders are written up clearly with cost and schedule impact before work proceeds, so there are no surprises on the final invoice.
What's the first step to get started?
Call (208) 660-2470 or request a meeting online. We'll schedule a free in-home consultation, walk the project, and follow up with a written estimate.
